Good basic website builder

I used uKit to build a simple informational site for my small consulting business. I opted for the Business Plan. The drag-and-drop editor was fairly intuitive, and I managed to get a decent-looking site up in about a week. Connecting my custom domain was straightforward, although I had to adjust a few DNS settings myself. The mobile responsive design worked well, which was important for me. I did have one question about integrating Google Analytics; I used their chat support, and they responded within an hour with clear instructions. The site has been stable since I launched it. The only minor point is that some of the template customization options felt a bit limited compared to what I'd seen elsewhere, but it was enough for my needs. Overall, a solid choice for small businesses needing a quick online presence without coding.

Easy to use for my shop

Signed up for the eCommerce Plan to sell my handmade crafts. The online store builder was easy to set up. Uploaded products and images quickly. It works. Just what I needed.

Got my site up fast

Needed a website for my new pet-sitting gig. Heard about uKit. I picked one of the ready-made templates and just tweaked the text and pictures. It was pretty easy, honestly. Didn't need to do any coding or anything. Got the Minimal Plan. Had my site live in a couple of days. It was a good experience.

hey, was thinking about trying out uKit for my small business site. Is it really easy for someone who's never built a website before? I'm not techy at all.

N Nina Romero 1 month ago
Yeah, totally. I literally just dragged stuff around and got a decent looking site up. It's pretty intuitive.

For sure, it's aimed at total beginners. No coding needed, just pick a template and fill it in. I started with zero experience too.

Can I use PayPal to pay for my uKit subscription, or is it just credit cards?

S Shane Z. 1 month ago
I paid with a credit card, but I think they accept PayPal too. Worth checking at checkout.

AFAIK, they accept major credit cards and usually PayPal. It's pretty standard for these types of services.

Thinking of getting the Business Plan for my new consultancy. What's the typical discount range for annual plans?

T Tara R. 1 month ago
You can usually snag 20-50% off if you go annual. It's a pretty good deal compared to monthly.

Yeah, I got about 30% off for my first year on the annual plan. Always look for a code, they're usually out there.

Does uKit offer any kind of student discount? Trying to save some cash while building my portfolio site.

A Andre A. 1 month ago
I've heard of them doing non-profit discounts, but not sure about student ones. Might be worth checking their site or asking support.

They've had student discounts before, but it might not be a permanent thing. Keep an eye out or search for current promo codes.

Is it possible to use a promo code if I'm already on a monthly plan and want to switch to annual?

A Anna Bennett 1 month ago
Usually, promo codes are for new subscriptions or upgrades. You might be able to apply one when switching from monthly to annual, but it's best to ask them directly.

I think codes are mostly for new sign-ups. When I upgraded, I just paid the difference. Renewal discounts are a separate thing, I believe.

Does uKit do Black Friday sales? I'm planning to upgrade around then but don't wanna miss out if deals drop earlier.

P Phil 3 weeks ago
They usually do! I got my plan last Black Friday with a pretty sweet discount.

Pretty sure they do something for BF/Cyber Monday. Most of these services run promos around the holidays.

How does uKit compare to Wix or Squarespace? I'm torn between them for my small online store.

E Elena R. 1 month ago
Wix is more flexible but can be overwhelming. uKit is simpler, especially if you just need a basic store. Squarespace is good if design is super critical for you.

uKit is definitely easier if you're not into endless customization. Wix can feel like too much sometimes. For a small biz, uKit's ecommerce features are usually enough.

What if I sign up for an annual plan and decide it's not for me after a month? Can I get my money back?

N Nick Lindqvist 1 month ago
They have a money-back guarantee, but I think it's for a shorter period than a month. You should check their terms.

G Gwen Nguyen 1 month ago
I remember there being a short money-back window, definitely not a full month on an annual plan. Test it with the free trial first to be safe!
